REAC, REMAN, REMAN OEM o NEW Injectors?
Good question. Unfortunately, not every injector shop makes a clear distinction between the different types of injectors it sells – which causes all sorts of confusion in the marketplace.
For more clarity on the different types of injectors available in our shop, here’s a look at the differences between refurbished, remanufactured, OEM Injectors and new injectors:
Refurbished
Remanufactured
Remanufactured (often called “reman”) injectors are different from refurbished in that they’ve been disassembled, inspected for wear, then rebuilt using brand new internal components.
Once rebuilt, they are rigorously test on our state-of the-art test stands to ensure they meet OEM specs. Reman injectors also come with a 1-year unlimited mileage warranty (USA, Canada and Europe).
OEM Remanufactured
OEM remanufactured injectors have been disassembled and inspected for wear by the original equipment manufacturer (Bosch for GM, Mopar [Cummins] for Dodge, and Seimens/Motocraft/International for Ford), then rebuilt using new and often updated components (nozzles, solenoids, plungers, valves, seals, etc.).
After the rebuild, the injectors are then individually tested to ensure they meet OEM specifications. These injectors are the same OEM injectors you can find at your local factory authorized dealership, along with a 1-year unlimited mileage warranty (USA, Canada and Europe).
New Injectors
New injectors don’t need much explaining.
New injectors are 100% brand new (including the body.) 2-year unlimited mileage warranty.
